Kristen Bell & Susan Sarandon Offer to Chip in for McKayla Maroney's Potential $100,000 Fine

Chrissy Teigen received a ton of praise today (January 16) for offering to pay the potential $100,000 fine that McKayla Maroney faces if she testifies against accused abuser Larry Nassar at his sentencing hearing.

Now, Kristen Bell, Susan Sarandon, and Fremulon Insurance pension fund monitor Ken Tremendous have offered to chip in to split the fine with Chrissy.

“I’ll split it with you,” Ken wrote while quoting Chrissy‘s original tweet offering to pay the fine. Kristen added, “I’ll 1/3 it with you guys,” which led to Susan saying, “I’ll 1/4 it with you guys.”

McKayla faces the massive fine if she speaks in court as she signed an NDA that ordered her to stay quiet when she accepted a reported $1.25 million in a settlement from USA Gymnastics.

Chrissy Teigen Offers to Pay McKayla Maroney's Fine if She Speaks at Larry Nassar's Sentencing Hearing

Chrissy Teigen isn’t satisfied with watching McKayla Maroney stay silent about her own allegation of molestation against former U.S. gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar, who has already plead guilty to multiple counts of sexual assault.

The 32-year-old model tweeted her discontent with a headline on Tuesday (January 16) concerning the 22-year-old retired Olympic gymnast.

“Revealed: McKayla Maroney faces $100K fine if she speaks at Larry Nassar sentencing after USA Gymnastics made her sign an NDA ordering her to stay quiet about abuse as part of her $1.25M settlement,” the Daily Mail headline reads.

“The entire principle of this should be fought – an NDA to stay quiet about this serial monster with over 140 accusers, but I would be absolutely honored to pay this fine for you, McKayla,” Chrissy wrote.

Team USA Doc Pleads Guilty After Gymnasts Accuse Him of Sexual Assault

Larry Nassar, the doctor who worked for Team USA Gymanstics and was accused of sexual assault by several gymnasts, has plead guilty to seven counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree.

Nassar now faces 25 to 40 years in prison. He plead guilty on Wednesday morning (November 22) at a courtroom in Michigan.

Aly Raisman, McKayla Maroney, and Gabby Douglas have all accused Nassar of molesting them. He would reportedly tell the girls that he was performing a routine medical exam, but would instead take advantage of them.

Aly took to Twitter after the the court appearance to slam the court. “Court referring to Larry as DOCTOR Nassar. I AM DISGUSTED. I am very disappointed. He does NOT deserve that. Larry is digusting. Larry is a MONSTER not a doctor,” she wrote.

Aly Raisman Joins McKayla Maroney in Accusing Gymnastics Team Doctor Larry Nassar of Sexual Abuse

Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman is now joining fellow “Fierce Five” member McKayla Maroney in accusing former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar of sexual abuse.

The 23-year-old three-time Olympic gold medalist made the revelation during an upcoming 60 Minutes interview that will air in full on Sunday (November 12).

“Why are we looking at why didn’t the girls speak up? Why not look at what about the culture? What did USA Gymnastics do, and Larry Nassar do, to manipulate these girls so much that they are so afraid to speak up?” she said during the interview.

Dr. Nassar is currently in jail after pleading guilty to child pornography charges – but not guilty to sexual assault. More than 130 women have filed civil lawsuits against the doctor claiming abuse.

“I am angry. I’m really upset because it’s been– I care a lot you know, when I see these young girls that come up to me, and they ask for pictures or autographs, whatever it is, I just– I can’t– every time I look at them, every time I see them smiling, I just think– I just want to create change so that they never, ever have to go through this.”

USA Gymnastics told 60 Minutes that they’ve since adopted new measures to make the sport safer in a statement: “USA Gymnastics is very sorry that any athlete has been harmed…we want to work with Aly and all interested athletes to keep athletes safe.”

Olympian McKayla Maroney Says She Was Molested By Gymnastics Team Doctor Larry Nassar

Olympic gold medalist McKayla Maroney has come forward as a victim of sexual misconduct at the hands of former USA gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar, who recently plead guilty to child pornography charges and has been accused of sexual assault by other women in the sport.

“Everyone’s words over the past few days have been so inspiring to me. I know how hard it is to speak publicly about something so horrible, and so personal, because it’s happened to me too,” McKayla wrote.

“People should know that this is not just happening in Hollywood. This is happening everywhere. Wherever there is a position of power, there seems to be potential for abuse. I had a dream to go to the Olympics, and the things that I had to endure to get there, were unnecessary, and disgusting,” she continued.

“I was molested by Dr. Larry Nassar, the team doctor for the US for the US Women’s National Gymnastics Team, and Olympic Team. Dr. Nassar told me that I was receiving ‘medically necessary treatment that he had been performing on patients for over 30 years.’ It started when I was 13 years old, at one of my first National Team training camps, in Texas, and it didn’t end until I left the sport,” McKayla wrote.

“For me, the scariest night of my life happened when I was 15 years old. I had flown all day and night with the team to get to Tokyo. He’d given me a sleeping pill for the flight, and the next thing I know, I was all alone with him in his hotel room getting a ‘treatment.’ I thought I was going to die that night,” she bravely continued.
