During Babyface and Teddy Riley‘s friendly music battle that took place on Instagram Live this week, Babyface revealed a story about Michael Jackson and Halle Berry.

“Speaking of MJ, it reminds me of a story—true story, fun fact,” Babyface said on the Instagram Live. “One time, Michael called me, Michael said, ‘Babyface, do you know who Halle Berry is? Do you know Halle Berry?’ I said, ‘Yeah, I know Halle Berry.’ He said, ‘Could you do me a favor? I want you to call her because I want to take her out on a date.’ I said, ‘What?’ and he said, ‘Call her, I want to take her out on a date.’”

“I can’t tell you exactly what Halle said, but I imagine it probably would have been something like this…,” he added, before adding a clip from her 1992 film Boomerang.

Drake is releasing new music – and stirring up controversy.

The 33-year-old rapper surprised fans by dropping two new songs over the weekend, called “When to Say When” and “Chicago Freestyle.”

He joked about the release as a “leak,” uploading the tracks on his label’s Soundcloud – along with a music video on YouTube, which was directed by Theo Skudra and shot at the Marcy Projects in Brooklyn and inside a recording studio.

In “When to Say When,” Drake references the child molestation allegations against Michael Jackson.

“Michael Jackson s–t, but the palace is not for kids,” he raps.

The late Michael Jackson‘s son Blanket just turned 18!

Paris Jackson took to Instagram on Friday (February 21) to wish her younger brother a happy birthday.

“my little brother is a legal adult today. what the f–k. i used to change his diapers. this is such a trip.. proud of the handsome, intelligent, insightful, funny, and kind young man he has become. he likes privacy so that’s all i gotta say. hbd lil bro,” Paris wrote on Instagram along with some throwback photos.

Blanket changed his name to Bigi back in 2015. He went out for dinner on Friday night with older brother Prince to celebrate the occasion!

Macaulay Culkin started spending time with Michael Jackson when he was 10 years old and Michael was 32, and in the wake of the Leaving Neverland documentary, he’s now speaking out about his late friend in Esquire‘s March 2020 cover story.

“Look. I’m gonna begin with the line—it’s not a line, it’s the truth: He never did anything to me. I never saw him do anything. And especially at this flash point in time, I’d have no reason to hold anything back,” Macaulay told Esquire. “The guy has passed on. If anything—I’m not gonna say it would be stylish or anything like that, but right now is a good time to speak up. And if I had something to speak up about, I would totally do it. But no, I never saw anything; he never did anything.”

Macaulay continued on to tell a story, saying, “Here’s a good Michael Jackson story that doesn’t involve Michael Jackson at all: I ran into James Franco on a plane. I’d bumped into him two or three times over the years. I give him a little nod as we’re putting our bags overhead. Hey, how you doing? Good, how ya doing? And it was right after the Leaving Neverland documentary came out, and he goes, ‘So, that documentary!’ And that was all he said. I was like, ‘Uh-huh.’ Silence. So then he goes, ‘So what do you think?’ And I turned to him and I go, ‘Do you wanna talk about your dead friend?’ And he sheepishly went, ‘No, I don’t.’ So I said, ‘Cool, man, it was nice to see you.’ ”

Macaulay has previously defended the 22 year age gap in their friendship.

Kim Kardashian is keeping the Michael Jackson memorabilia coming for her daughter, North West, who’s a huge fan of the late musician.

The 39-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality TV star posted a series of updates on her Instagram on Friday (December 27) after Christmas, during which she revealed she got North one of MJ‘s iconic jackets.

“Along with jacket, North also got Michael‘s ‘Smooth Criminal’ hat. It still has his make up on it,” Kim wrote on her Instagram Story, along with some screenshots of Michael performing in the hat.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West made their six-year-old daughter North West‘s Christmas dreams come true by buying her one of Michael Jackson‘s actual jackets.

The power couple bought the jacket during a recent auction. While the winning bid was not disclosed, the item was valued between $200,000 and $300,000. The late singer wore the jacket while attending Elizabeth Taylor‘s birthday party.

“North is a really big Michael Jackson fan,” Kim said in her Instagram Stories. “We knew she would love this.”

“We won this on an auction for Northie for Christmas and we had it tacked up so she can wear it. The sleeves are half-tacked up so when she gets older, we can un-tack the sleeve and it can grow with her. She can have this for her whole life. She’s so grateful and excited,” Kim added.

Johnny Depp is producing an unauthorized musical about Michael Jackson, told from an unusual perspective.

The 56-year-old actor is set to produce For the Love of a Glove: An Unauthorized Musical Fable About the Life of Michael Jackson, as told by his Glove, according to Page Six.

The show was written by Julien Nitzberg, who came up with the concept 17 years ago while working with a major TV network on a biopic.

He later teamed up with Johnny‘s production company Infinitum Nihil for another biopic that did not get made but maintained a good relationship with the company.

The show takes a “look into the strange forces that shaped Michael and the scandals that bedeviled his reputation” as narrated by a talking, singing glove.

Actors will use life-size puppets including ones of the Jackson 5, Donny Osmond, Corey Feldman and Bubbles the Chimp.

The musical is set to debut on January 25th in Los Angeles.

A sanctioned musical about Michael Jackson will premiere next summer.
