“Marry Angel, can you really marry the undead?” Sarah Michelle said. “Marry Angel, you shag Spike, obviously, and I don’t want to kill Xander though.”

Then, Sarah Michelle said she didn’t have to kill anyone, really! “I don’t have to! You can’t make me!”

'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' Cast Weighs in on Revival (Video)

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer cast is speaking out about a possible reunion!

Stars Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alyson Hannigan, James Marsters, Charisma Carpenter, and creator Joss Whedon all shared their thoughts in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“At a certain point, when things are magical, you don’t want to go back and Godfather III it, right?” Sarah joked. “I’m sure the fans are incredibly disappointed to hear that answer, but I think they’d be more disappointed if we created something and it didn’t live up to the expectation because the expectation is so incredibly high. And I love that it can live in comic form and graphic novels. There are so many worlds it can live in.”

“I think we should do the Buffy cartoon,” Alyson added, while James chimed in, “I think if Joss is helming it, then hell yeah. If not, then hell no.”

“I think the fans would just go crazy if something like that would happen,” Charisma shared. “It would just make so many people happy.”

As an actor, all you ever want to do is leave your mark – you want to do something that affects people,” Sarah Michelle said of the show, which aired from 1997 to 2003.

David spoke about the impact Buffy had on audiences.

“When you’re going through a really horrible part of your life, like your teenage years, you feel alone. And Buffy was a way to tell the audience you’re not alone,” he said.

Sarah Michelle Gellar Thanks 'Buffy' Fans on 20th Anniversary!

Sarah Michelle Gellar is speaking out to thank fans of her beloved series Buffy the Vampire Slayer on the 20th anniversary of the first episode airing.

The 39-year-old actress, who was only 19 when the show first aired, took to Instagram to share an emotional letter to her fans.

“20 years ago today, I had the greatest privilege to bring Buffy to your TV screens for the first time. It was a long and challenging road to get there,” Sarah said. “First the movie, then a passed over pilot presentation, and eventually a mid season time slot on a little known network. That first season, we liked to think of ourselves as the little show that could.”

“While we knew the potential, I don’t think any of us saw the lasting impact our show would have,” Sarah continued. “As an actor, you wish for that one role where you can leave your mark and forever be remembered, with Buffy I got so much more. She’s a feminist challenge to gender hierarchy. Buffy may have been the Chosen One, but I was the lucky one.”
