Spy has topped this weekend’s box office with a whopping $30 million debut!
According to THR, the comedy, starring Melissa McCarthy, Rose Byrne, Jude Law, and Jason Statham, expanded into a total of 54 markets overseas this weekend for an impressive foreign total of $56.6 million and worldwide gross of $86.8 million.
Taking the No. 2 spot was San Andreas, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Alexandra Daddario, which brought in an additional $26.4 million for a domestic total of $99.1 million so far.
Coming in third was Dermot Mulroney and Stefanie Scott‘s new horror flick Insidious: Chapter 3, which opened to a solid $23 million.
Rounding out the top five were the star-studded flicks Entourage and Mad Max: Fury Road, which earned $10.4 million and $8 million, respectively.
Meanwhile, Pitch Perfect 2 passed the $250 million mark, and the romantic dramedy Aloha, starring Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, and Rachel McAdams, grossed an additional $3.3 million for a domestic total of $16.3 million.
