Perry Mason is coming back.

HBO is renewing the drama series for a second season, THR confirmed on Wednesday (July 22).

“It has been an exciting journey to work with the immensely talented team behind Perry Mason. Viewers have relished being transported back in time to 1930s Los Angeles each week, and we are thrilled to welcome the show back for a second season,” said HBO’s Francesca Orsi in a statement.

The show was originally pitched as a feature film for Robert Downey Jr.

If you haven’t watched yet, the show “is based on the character from the Erle Stanley Gardner novels — though it takes place before Mason becomes the defense attorney made familiar by the 1957-66 CBS series. In this Los Angeles noir version, Mason is a low-rent private investigator haunted by his wartime experience in France and suffering from a broken marriage.”

The series stars Matthew Rhys as Mason, with Juliet Rylance, Chris Chalk, Shea Whigham, Tatiana Maslany and John Lithgow also on the cast.

The upcoming series is based on characters created by Erle Stanley Gardner, and is an origin story for the famous defense attorney, set in 1931 Los Angeles amidst the Great Depression.

Perry Mason, is just getting started in his career, when the case of the decade breaks down his door. His relentless pursuit of the truth reveals a fractured city and just maybe a pathway to redemption for himself.

The cast includes John Lithgow, Tatiana Maslany, Juliet Rylance, Chris Chalk, Shea Whigham, Lili Taylor, and more.

Perry Mason will premiere next month, on Sunday, June 21 at 9/8c.

Tatiana Maslany revealed some really exciting news for Orphan Black fans – the cast is getting back together for a virtual table read!

The 34-year-old actress revealed the news this week that Maria Doyle Kennedy, Jordan Gavaris, Kristian Bruun, Kevin Hanchard, Dylan Bruce, Evelyne Brochu, Josh Vokey, Michael Mando and more will reunite for a special cause.

“Kristian Bruun and I started talking about the idea of doing an OB reunion back when everything had shut down,” Tatiana shared. “We wanted to show love to Clone Club and help raise some money for people who are disproportionately affected during this difficult time.”

The Orphan Black cast will bring not just one, but two episodes to life through the show’s official Facebook page, and it will raise money for CenterLink and Sistering in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, and International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.

The Orphan Black reunion will happen on Sunday, May 17, at 3/2c.

RuPaul happily hits the red carpet with his little co-star Izzy G. while attending the season one premiere of their new Netflix series AJ & The Queen held at the Egyptian Theatre on Thursday (January 9) in Hollywood.

The drag queen superstar and Izzy were joined at the event by Sex and the City‘s Kristin Davis, Whitney Cummings, Ross Mathews, Michelle Visage, Este Haim, Kalen Allen, Gigi Gorgeous, Tatiana Maslany and Jonathan Bennett as they all came out to show their support.

Maddie Hasson gives us a classy retro vibe in a lilac ensemble as she arrives at the season two premiere of her YouTube Original series, Impulse, held at the San Vicente Bungalows on Tuesday night (October 15) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 24-year-old actress met up with her cast mates, including Missi Pyle, Eric Ladin, Matt Gordon, Craig Arnold, Sarah Desjardins, Callum Keith Rennie, Enuka Okuma, Daniel Maslany, and Tanner Stine.

The cast was also joined by Tatiana Maslany, Chloe Bennet, Jonathan Bennett, and Jamie Chung at the premiere party.

Impulse centers on Henry Coles (Hasson), a rebellious 17-year-old girl who has always felt different from her peers and longs to escape from her seemingly quaint small town.

During a traumatic event, Henry discovers she has the extraordinary ability to teleport, and her newfound power confirms Henry’s conviction that she really was different from everybody else — but it now makes her the focus of those who want to control her.

Samara Weaving strikes a pose on the red carpet at the premiere of Ready or Not on Monday night (August 19) at the ArcLight in Culver City, Calif.

The 27-year-old actress looked chic in a black, lace blazer-dress as she stepped out for the premiere of her new dark comedy.

Fellow co-stars at the event included Andie MacDowell, Mark O’Brien and girlfriend Georgina Reilly, Henry Czerny, Elyse Levesque, and Ethan Tavares.

Other stars at the premiere included Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany and Sweetbitter‘s Evan Jonigkeit.

Here’s the synopsis: “Ready or Not concerns a high-stakes game of Hide and Seek, in which a clan of ultra-rich and extremely unscrupulous bluebloods gang up to find — although ‘hunt’ would be the better word — the newest addition to their old-money dynasty,” according to Variety.

Here’s some super cool news for fans of Orphan Black – the series will be continuing on the audio and reading platform Serial Box!

Tatiana Maslany is set to narrate the audio continuation of the series and reprise her roles from the Emmy-winning television show.

Orphan Black: The Next Chapter picks up the clones’ story eight years after the events of the show when biologist Cosima and her sestras, Sarah Manning and Alison Hendrix, along with other familiar (and not so familiar) faces, are forced out of their fiercely protected private lives to stop a global disaster.

The first episode will be released on Serial Box on September 12 and a new episode will be released each week after that, though there will be a mid-season hiatus after episode five.
