Over the summer, one of the Victoria’s Secret models revealed the annual fashion show was cancelled this year and now, the brand is finally confirming the news.

The decision to cancel the show was reportedly to “evolve the marketing of Victoria’s Secret.”

“We’ll be communicating to customers, but nothing [will change] that I would say is similar in magnitude to the fashion show,” the chief financial officer of the Victoria’s Secret parent company said during the company’s third quarter earnings call.

“Given the decline in performance at Victoria’s Secret, we have substantially pulled back on capital investment in that business while we focus on ensuring that our merchandise resonates with customers,” the brand added.

Kate Upton is all about body inclusivity and is not having any of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show‘s lack of being inclusive over the years.

While making an appearance on Watch What Happens Live! on Sunday (August 18), Kate was asked her thoughts on the rumors that the brand would not be holding their annual fashion show this year.

Kate responded, “You know what? We’re sick of seeing the same body type. You have to be body inclusive now. Every woman needs to be represented otherwise it’s a snoozefest.”

Model Shanina Shaik reportedly dished that the 2019 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has been cancelled and will not be happening.

“Unfortunately the Victoria’s Secret show won’t be happening this year,” the 28-year-old model reportedly told the Daily Telegraph. “It’s something I’m not used to because every year around this time I’m training like an angel. But I’m sure in the future something will happen, which I’m pretty sure about. I’m sure they’re trying to work on branding and new ways to do the show because it’s the best show in the world.”

Shanina has walked in the show several times over the years.

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has been happening since 1995, and back in May, the brand announced that the show would no longer be televised. This news came after the show was put under a microscope because of some controversial comments made by one executive.

The brand has yet to comment on this cancellation news.

Over the years, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has faced criticism as anti-feminist, and now, Karlie Kloss is cominngn to the defense of the show.

“There’s something really powerful about a woman who owns her sexuality and is in charge,” the 25-year-old model said when asked about the “relevance of a show like Victoria’s Secret in today’s climate” by The Telegraph.

“A show like this celebrates that and allows all of us to be the best versions of ourselves. Whether it’s wearing heels, make-up or a beautiful piece of lingerie – if you are in control and empowered by yourself, it’s sexy. I personally love investing in a powerful scent or piece of lingerie, but I ensure it’s on my terms. I like to set a positive example, so would never be part of something I didn’t believe in,” she added.

The show made lots of headlines when it appeared as if Adriana Lima, a longtime Angel, was stepping away from the brand after the 2017 show. The show airs every year towards the end of the year, and features models and Angels showing off lingerie.

The 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is going international yet again – this time in Shanghai, China!

This will be the first time the show is set to head to China. Last year’s show took place in Paris, France.

VS Angels Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Behati Prinsloo, Candice Swanepoel, Lily Aldridge, Elsa Hosk, Jasmine Tookes, Josephine Skriver, Lais Ribeiro, Martha Hunt, Romee Strijd, Sara Sampaio, Stella Maxwell and Taylor Hill, will all be walking the runway, as well as other famous models including Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid and more.

The annual runway show is set to air on Tuesday (November 28) on CBS. Be sure to tune in!

Irina Shayk is not the only model to have walked the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway while pregnant!

The 30-year-old model is currently expecting her first child with boyfriend Bradley Cooper and she debuted her tiny baby bump while walking in the show this week.

Irina is reportedly in her second trimester and was a bit more covered up than other models to try and conceal her pregnancy.

Victoria’s Secret Angel Jasmine Tookes has been chosen to wear the Fantasy Bra this year at the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show!

Each year, the brand picks an angel to debut the priceless bra. This year’s lingerie – called the “Bright Night Fantasy Bra” – is worth $3 million and contains 450 carat and 9,000 precious gemstones.

Jasmine presented the bra at the Victoria’s Secret store today in NYC – which you can see in the gallery below!

In addition, Victoria’s Secret shared a video of Jasmine getting the news that she has been chosen to wear the bra! Watch below…her reaction is amazing!
