Johnny Depp Gears Up for 'Dark Shadows'

Johnny Depp arrives at Japan’s Narita International Airport on Tuesday (December 8).

The 46-year-old actor, who’s in town to promote Public Enemies, will take part in a feature film version of ’60s TV soap opera Dark Shadows with Tim Burton!

Shooting begins next fall in September or October, according to SciFi Wire, and Johnny will play Barnabas Collins, a moody vampire.

Dark Shadows, originally a daytime soap on ABC in the late ’60s, had a primetime reboot in 1991 by NBC. This is the first film adaptation of the story!
