Julia Roberts & Meryl Streep Team Up in 'August: Osage County'

Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep are in talks to star together in the film adaptation of the play August: Osage County.

The pic is about a dysfunctional family whose secrets are revealed when they reunite after the disappearance of the father. Meryl will play the drug-addicted matriach with Julia as the eldest daughter whose husband is having an affair with his student, according to Deadline.

The play, by Tracy Letts, won four Tony Awards during its Broadway run, including Best Play, as well as the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
