Rooney Mara: 'Emanuel & the Truth About Fishes' Star?

Rooney Mara is attached to star in the indie drama Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes, according to Variety.

The 25-year-old The Social Network actress will play a “troubled teenager who agrees to look after her new neighbor’s ‘baby,’ which is actually a very life-like doll.”

Rooney‘s character “decides to go along with the charade while befriending the delusional woman, who happens to be the spitting image of the title character’s late mother.”

The story draws comparisons to Ryan Gosling‘s 2007 film Lars and the Real Girl.

Rooney will next be seen as Lisbeth Salander in the highly anticipated film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
