Idina Menzel Returning to 'Glee' for Major Arc!

Idina Menzel will be returning to Glee in a major arc next season, according to Deadline.

The 40-year-old actress previously appeared on five episodes of the hit series’ first season as Shelby Corcoran, the biological mother of Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) and the coach of Vocal Adrenaline. Her character also adopted Quinn’s baby at the end of the season.

Idina is currently in final negotiations for a return to the show that could span 10 to 12 episodes!

Shelby will return from “New York to Ohio to join William McKinley High School as a new teacher and complicating things for Rachel as well as former flame Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison).”

“I’m really excited that Idina is joining the family again,” Glee creator Ryan Murphy said. “We missed her last year and we’re happy that she is coming back.”
