Mark Wahlberg: I Wasn't Slamming Tom Cruise!

Mark Wahlberg heads back to his car after lunching at The Grill restaurant on Thursday (November 14) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 42-year-old actor made headlines the day before for comments he made blasting actors who compare their work to being in the military. While many believed he was referencing Tom Cruise, he says that is not the case.

“I didn’t know that it was Tom Cruise who had said that,” Mark told TMZ. “Somebody had just mentioned that people were comparing [acting and being in the military]. I love Tom Cruise. He’s a great actor. I have the utmost respect for [him], but I have the utmost respect for military guys; it’s just unfair for anybody to comment on that.”
