'Mrs. Doubtfire' House Falls Victim to Fires, Arson Suspected
The house in San Francisco that was made famous by the film Mrs. Doubtfire was damaged after two small fires were set outside on Monday evening (January 5).
There is an arson investigation underway after the home’s owner smelled gasoline outside the front door.
A doormat was set ablaze, as well as the side of the garage. The homeowner was luckily able to douse the flames before he called authorities to the scene, according to USA Today.
After Robin Williams‘ death last year, the house became a makeshift memorial where many people placed flowers to pay tribute to the late great actor.
