The first official trailer for Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard‘s film Macbeth is finally here!

This version of Macbeth is billed as a visceral and visually breath-taking retelling of the classic tale about an ambitious Scottish lord (Fassbender) who seizes the throne with the help of his wife (Cotillard). Elizabeth Debicki, Jack Reynor, and more star in the retelling of the classic William Shakespeare play.

The film does not yet have a US release date, but will hit theaters in the UK on October 2.
