Chris Pine & Bryce Dallas Howard Showcase Their Upcoming Disney Films at D23
Chris Pine and Bryce Dallas Howard stop by Disney’s D23 Expo to talk about their upcoming Disney projects on Saturday (August 15) in Anaheim, Calif.
The 34-year-old Star Trek actor is set to star in The Finest Hours, a true story that follows a high-stakes, heavy seas rescue that took place in the North Atlantic 50 years ago.

“Coming from the science-fiction world that I come from, flying fictionally in space on a fictional space ship, it was so nice to read something that got even more dramatic, the waves got bigger and the stakes got higher. And everything you read actually happened,” Chris explained.
Bryce also took to the stage at D23 to discuss Pete’s Dragon, a remake of the 1977 film that mixes live-action and animation.
“I get to play a character who acts opposite Robert Redford and a dragon. I was obsessed with Pete’s Dragon as a kid,” Bryce enthusiastically told the crowd. “I was excited about the notion that I was going to get to kind of re-feel this story again, because when I watched that story as a child, it does something to your core.”
