Prince's Publicist Releases Statement on His Death

Prince‘s publicist has released a statement about his sudden death today (April 21) at the age of 57.

“It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning at the age of 57. There are no further details as to the cause of death at this time,” his rep said in a statement (via Gossip Cop).

Prince‘s death comes just after he was hospitalized after battling the flu for several weeks, his rep said. His airplane had to make an emergency landing to get him medical attention on Friday (April 15). Our continued thoughts are with his loved ones.
