Rosario Dawson Explains Why She Got Arrested in Washington D.C.

Rosario Dawson is all smiles while attending Voto Latino’s Our Voices: Celebrating Diversity in Media reception held at the Hay Adams Hotel on Friday (April 29) in Washington, D.C.

The 36-year-old Daredevil actress showed her support for the event which brought together hundreds of diverse influential leaders from media, politics, and business.

While in the capitol, Rosario returned to the location where she was arrested during a rally a couple of weeks earlier.

“I had to go get for fingerprinted because I got arrested two weeks ago. They just give you a ticket and say come back within 15 days. They just gave people tickets, the jails were full,” she explained at an event that evening.

Rosario added, “I wanted personally to be in solidarity with the other folks who put themselves on the line and really just to bring attention to this because I think that’s just vitally important.”
