Daniel Radcliffe Calls Out Hollywood for Being 'Pretty Undeniably' Racist
Daniel Radcliffe is all smiles while arriving at BBC Studios on Wednesday (September 21) in London, England.
The 27-year-old actor stopped by the Victoria Derbyshire show to discuss his new movie, Imperium, in which he plays an undercover cop who spies on white-supremacist groups.
During the interview, the show’s host asked Daniel if he thought Hollywood was racist. Daniel responded by saying that Hollywood’s racism is “pretty undeniable.”
“We like to think of ourselves as being a very, very progressive industry, but we have been lagging behind in all kinds of areas,” Daniel said about Hollywood.
When asked if he would return to the Harry Potter franchise, Daniel said that he’s enjoying doing other projects now, but that doesn’t mean he won’t change his mind in the future.
“Maybe if 30 years had passed I would be thinking differently,” Daniel said. “They will be doing remakes, and I could play his dad, or something.”
