Kelly Clarkson Totally 'Butchered' President Obama's Name During First Meeting! (Video)

Kelly Clarkson is all smiles while making an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday (October 4) in New York City.

The 34-year-old entertainer promoted her new children’s book “River Rose and the Magical Lullaby” – which is available now – and also talked about butchering President Barack Obama‘s name when she had to introduce him during his time as a junior senator.

“I completely butchered it,” Kelly told Seth. “I wanted to die. I wanted to fall down and pretend like, ‘Oh she had a stroke.’ I wanted to fake some horrible thing. Cut to afterwards, I’m like ‘Oh my God this new senator… I feel so horrible. I’ve got to find him and apologize.’ I couldn’t find him, and it was horrible because everyone was like, ‘You’ll never see him again.’”
