Kate Beckinsale Addresses Michael Bay Body Shame Controversy: 'We've Gotten Over It'

Kate Beckinsale arrives on the set of The Only Living Boy in New York with her bodyguard on Tuesday (October 11) in New York City.

The 43-year-old actress was also seen filming on the set the day before.

Kate caught up with Yahoo Movies over the weekend, and talked about the issues between her and Pearl Harbor‘s Michael Bay. Kate was quoted saying months ago that Michael told her to work out before he cast her.

“It was such an old story that I’d been asked about a million times,” Kate said. “It surprised the s�” out of me, and him really. Pearl Harbor was a long time ago. It’s true there was a bit of that going on, but the shaming of people is something I’m against in general. I’ve seen him since, and we’ve gotten over it. I didn’t feel it was personal, and I wish him nothing but the best.”
