Seth Meyers Asks For Compassion From Trump Supporters In Powerful 'Late Night' Opening Monologue Speech! (Video)

Seth Meyers passionately addresses his Late Night with Seth Meyers audience with a positive opening monologue speech on Wednesday evening (November 9) in response to Donald Trump being elected the next President of the United States.

The 42-year-old talk show host spoke about his disappointment with the election results, his hope for a future woman president, and pleaded that Trump and his supporters show more tolerance and compassion.

“We are always better as a society when we have empathy for one another, so I would just say, I would like to say to those Trump voters: congratulations. I sincerely hope he addresses your concerns, and I sincerely hope that if you felt forgotten, he won’t forget you now,” Seth expressed. “As a white man, I know that any emotions that I’m feeling are likely a fraction of those being felt by the LGBTQ community, African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, Muslim-Americans, and any number of the immigrant communities so vital to our country, so hopefully the Trump Administration and supporters will be compassionate to them, because they need your compassion.”
