Isabelle Huppert keeps it chic and sophisticated while hitting the red at the premiere of her latest film Happy End held during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival at Palais des Festivals on Monday (May 22) in Cannes, France
The 64-year-old actress was also joined by her cast and crew – Mathieu Kassovitz, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Marianne Hoepfner, director Michael Haneke, Susi Haneke, Fantine Harduin, Franz Rogowski and Toby Jones – as they also attended a photo call for the flick earlier that same day.

“It’s tougher for American women filmmakers to make films and exist in that industry, and they seem to be challenging the barriers with more force, obsession and determination than in France,” Isabelle told Variety at the press conference. “I think women often make films that are more personal and tend to venture off the tried-and-tested path, which allows them to be more free, whereas men tend to be on a sort of freeway. We’re often more free (and flexible) when we’re on a side street than on an freeway.”
FYI: Isabelle is wearing Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello at the Happy End premiere.
