Figure Skater Mirai Nagasu Makes History at Olympics 2018!
Figure skater Mirai Nagasu made history on Monday morning (Sunday night in the USA) when she became the first American skater to land the rare and incredibly difficult triple axel during the Olympics!
The 24-year-old Olympian celebrated on the ice after her amazing skate. The difficult jump has only been attempted inn competition by Mirai , Tonya Harding and Kimmie Meissner.
If you don’t know, the move requires a forward takeoff and three-and-a-half rotations in the air.
Team USA, which also includes Adam Rippon and more, won bronze at the Figure Skating Team event.
