Taylor Swift Had No Say in Camila Cabello's Decision to Leave Fifth Harmony

Camila Cabello is slamming a rumor that Taylor Swift persuaded her to leave Fifth Harmony and start a solo career.

The 21-year-old “Havana” singer left the group in 2016 and said on The Dan Wootton Interview that it was all her decision.

Camila says it bothered her that fans blamed Taylor for her exit from the group, which was formed on The X Factor USA.

“If I don’t want to do something the whole world could be telling me and I won’t do it. And if I do, then the whole world could be telling me to not do it and I’ll do it. I’ve always been that way,” Camila said.

“It annoyed me that people said that she was encouraging me, because I know she probably got a lot of flak for that or a lot of negative criticism for that, and that annoys me because I’m really protective over my friends,” Camila added. “To be honest with you, she’s never, ever had anything to do with that.”

Camila will be joining Taylor on the road for the reputation Stadium Tour this summer!
