Emilia Clarke Explains The Embarrassing Thing That Happened When She Met Prince William

Emilia Clarke is all smiles as she rocks a white print dress while making her way inside Good Morning America to promote Solo: A Star Wars Story on Wednesday (May 22) in New York City.

The evening before, the 31-year-old actress made an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers and discussed going to Kensington Palace to meet Prince William and the embarrassing thing that happened.

“It was good. So, it’s kind of a frightening thing, going to the palace — there’s a whole thing,” Emilia told Seth. “You can’t turn your back, you need to address him first as ‘Your Royal Highness,’ and after that, you can say, ‘Prince William.’”

Emilia admitted that when the big moment came, she froze. “For whatever reason, probably because I was so scared, I couldn’t manage to get out ‘Your Royal Highness.’”
