Glenda Jackson Wins Her First Tony Award at 82!

Glenda Jackson appears on stage to accept her award at the 2018 Tony Awards held at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday (June 10) in New York City.

The 82-year-old actress won the award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play for her work in the play Three Tall Women.

This is Glenda‘s first Tony Award and she is now the 24th person to win the Triple Crown of Acting – a Tony, an Oscar, and an Emmy.

Glenda won an Oscar in 1971 for Women in Love and she won two Emmys in 1972 for Elizabeth R. She has been nominated for four other Tonys.
