Duchess Meghan Markle Reunites with Women From Grenfell Community Kitchen!
Meghan Markle happily stepped out to visit the Hubb Community Kitchen to see how funds raised by the ‘Together: Our Community Cookbook‘ are making a difference at Al Manaar, North Kensington on Wednesday morning (November 21) in London, England.
The 37-year-old Duchess, who is currently pregnant with her first child with Prince Harry, supported the ‘Together: Our Community Cookbook‘, launched in September 2018, writing a foreword about her experiences in the Hubb Community Kitchen and contributing some of her own recipes to the collection of 50.
The idea was born after the women started gathering in a communal kitchen at the Al Manaar community centre to prepare food for friends, families and neighbours in the months following the Grenfell Tower fire.
The cookbook was Meghan’s first solo project after becoming a royal and is supported by The Royal Foundation. “For two days every week, these women were able to cook and share their delicious recipes together,” Meghan explained in a promotional video at the time. “I immediately felt connected to this community kitchen. Like these women, I’m passionate about food and cooking as a way of strengthening communities.”
FYI: Meghan is wearing a coat with matching dress by Club Monaco.
