Kurt Russell Opens Up About the Pressures of Getting Older in Hollywood

Kurt Russell is opening up about about aging in Hollywood.

During a recent interview, the 67-year-old actor opened up about the pressures actors and actresses face trying to find a job in Hollywood as they get older.

“Historically we can look at the product that comes out of Hollywood and for the most part it is more difficult playing in that world as an actress than it is an actor,” Kurt told BW Magazine before adding, “But that is probably going to change too.”

Kurt when on to say that he up until recently, actresses had been judged by their sex appeal and looks rather than experience. He also noted that for actors, when they become older, they are said to grow in intelligence and wisdom.

Kurt then went on to praise his longtime partner of 35 years Goldie Hawn for her outlook on getting older.

“[Goldie's] energy is incredible, she still looks great, she is in great shape and she is interested in things other than primarily what is going on in this town but every once in a while she ducks her head in and has some fun,” Kurt said.
