Melissa McCarthy is Honored at Santa Barbara Film Festival 2019!

Melissa McCarthy sparkles as she arrives at the 2019 Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Sunday night (February 2) at the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara, Calif.

The 48-year-old actress looked so pretty in a sparkling, black dress as she was joined at the event by her Can You Ever Forgive Me? co-star Richard E. Grant.

During the event, Melissa was honored with the Montecito Award for her role in the film.

“I came up in the theater doing primarily all drama,” Melissa said about preparing for her role. “I don’t prepare any differently. I’m a character actor, so if I love the character and I love the story, it’s the same preparation to me.”

Melissa and Richard are both nominated for their roles in Can You Ever Forgive Me? at the upcoming 2019 Oscars.
