Josh Gad and Cynthia Erivo are joining forces for a musical Rip Van Winkle movie!

The duo will be giving the classic American folk tale a unique musical twist, according to THR.

Rip Van Winkle follows a colonial American who falls asleep and wakes up decades later, missing the American Revolution.

It’s often told as a cautionary tale of sleeping one’s life away.

While the script will be based on Josh’s idea and he will also produce, Cynthia is set to star in the film.
