Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Officially Split Households From Kate Middleton & Prince William

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have split their household from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

If you don’t know, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have shared a staff with Kate Middleton and Prince William since their marriage in May of 2018. The Queen has issued an approval to have Meghan and Harry to have a new base at Buckingham Palace, thus splitting up their household from the Cambridges. While Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry will leave Kensington Palace, Duchess Kate and Prince William will remain there.

“The Duke of Sussex currently has his own private office, which has been supporting the Duchess since the engagement of Their Royal Highnesses in November 2017,” the Palace said in a statement (via Reuters). “This long-planned move will ensure that permanent support arrangements for The Duke and Duchess’s work are in place as they start their family and move to their official residence at Frogmore Cottage.”

Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry, who are expecting their first child next month, will move to Frogmore Cottage later in the Spring after their relocation to Buckingham Palace.
