Constance Wu Clarifies Comments Following 'Fresh Off The Boat' Renewal: 'Stop Assuming'
Constance Wu is speaking out after her seemingly surprising response to news of Fresh Off The Boat‘s renewal.
After the network revealed the show would be coming back for another season, Constance took to her Twitter to share that she was very upset.
“So upset right now that I’m literally crying. Ugh. F**k,” Constance wrote, later adding, “F**king hell.”
While Constance didn’t specify what she was upset about, she responded to a fan congratulating her on the show’s renewal in a now deleted tweet.
“Congrats on your renewal! Great news :)” the fan wrote, with Constance responding, “No it’s not.”
Constance later returned to Twitter to ask fans to stop making assumptions about her comments.
“That was not a rampage, it was just how I normally talk. I say f**k a lot. I love the word. Y’all are making a lot of assumptions about what I was saying. And no, it’s not what it’s about. No it’s not..what this is all about. Stop assuming,” Constance wrote.
In another tweet to a fan, Constance also added that she never stated that she was upset about a TV show.
That was not a rampage, it was just how I normally talk. I say fuck a lot. I love the word. Y’all are making a lot of assumptions about what I was saying. And no, it’s not what it’s about. No it’s not..what this is all about. Stop assuming.

I said I was upset and crying. I did not say it was over a tv show. You’re making an assumption.
