'Elvis' Biopic Casts Austin Butler As King of Rock N' Roll

Congrats are in order for Austin Butler, who is set to play Elvis in the upcoming Baz Luhrmann biopic.

Variety reports that the 27-year-old Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor won the part after a weekend of full hair and makeup test.

Austin reportedly beat out Harry Styles, Ansel Elgort, and Miles Teller for the part.

The movie centers on the relationship between the Presley’s manager, Col. Tom Parker (Tom Hanks), and the young singer, who came from dirt-poor origins to become an iconic star who changed the course of music.

The flick is set to start shooting at the start of next year.
