Taika Waititi Will Direct 'Thor 4'!

Thor 4 has found its director!

The fourth installment in the Thor series will be directed by Taika Waititi, THR confirmed on Tuesday (July 16).

Taika also directed 2017′s Thor: Ragnarok, which has brought in nearly $854 million worldwide. Chris Hemsworth is expected to reprise his role as Thor.

Fun fact: Thor is also the first Avenger to get a fourth movie.

However, directing Thor 4 means that his much-anticipated Akira, which was due for a 2021 release, has been put on pause “indefinitely” as the production dates go against each other.
