'Six,' Modern Pop Musical About Henry VIII's Wives, Is Going to Broadway!

Six, the smash-hit musical from London’s West End, will premiere on Broadway in 2020!

The musical, written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss while studying for the final exams at Cambridge University, is about the wives of King Henry VIII.

Here is the show’s official synopsis: From Tudor Queens to Pop Princesses, the six wives of Henry VIII take to the mic to tell their tales, remixing five hundred years of historical heartbreak into a 75-minute celebration of 21st century girl power.

Six features a modern pop score and is currently the only musical with completely original music scheduled to premiere in the new Broadway season.

Preview performances begin at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on February 13 ahead of an official opening night on March 12.
