James Van Der Beek Rocks a Velvet Jacket at Emmy Awards 2019

James Van Der Beek is looking sharp at the 2019 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 22) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The 42-year-old Dawson’s Creek alum and current Dancing With the Stars contestant buttoned up in a crushed velvet jacket on the red carpet.

“True friends go to #Emmy parties with you when your wife is too tired after getting back from Vegas at 2:30am and watching five kids all day because you were busy dancing. @hallmark, if you want to put that in a card, call me. @bootleguniverse,” he wrote on his Instagram prior to the event alongside his friend Adi Shankar.

The Emmys will air live TONIGHT at 8/7c on Fox and the show will not have a host, marking the fourth time in history that this has happened.
