Duchess Kate & Prince William Meet with Princess Diana's Friend in Pakistan
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton) and Prince William join a gathering of children from three different schools taking part in a number of activities to show Pakistan’s effort to meet sustainable development goals at Margallah Hills National Park on Tuesday (October 15) in Islamabad, Pakistan.
Later in the day, the royal couple stopped by Prime Minister Imran Khan‘s private residence for a meeting at his home. This meeting is significant because Prince William‘s late mother, Princess Diana, was an old friend of the Prime Ministers.
The Prime Minister previously revealed that he was planning to travel to London before Princess Diana‘s death to act as a mediator between her and her love, Dr Hasnat Khan.
“She had been involved with him for two years and she had wanted to marry him. It was clear that she was very deeply in love with [him],” Imran Khan said in a documentary after her death. “She had decided he was the man she wanted to live with.”
This is day two of the royal tour in Pakistan, so stay tuned for many more events from the couple!
FYI: Duchess Kate‘s green tunic is from Catherine Walker which she paired with Maheen Khan pants and a Satrangi scarf. The Duchess is also wearing a blue Maheen Khan shalwar kameez, which is a traditional combination dress worn by women.
