Elizabeth Banks Says The DNA of 'Charlie's Angels' Is Sisterhood!
Elizabeth Banks paid a visit to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday (November 5) and dished all about directing, producing and starring in her Charlie’s Angels reboot!
“It’s a continuation. These are trying times, I don’t know if you’ve noticed. I wanted to make a movie that celebrated women at work,” the 45-year-old entertainer told Stephen. “When I watched the original show, I thought ‘those are professional women!’ That’s a job ladies get to do?’ And they looked incredible!?!’ I was like why aren’t we all just super sexy spies all the time. I was really inspired.”
“I felt like the DNA of Charlie’s Angels is about sisterhood, comradery, working together, believing women and supporting women – but also it’s super entertaining for everybody,” Elizabeth continued. “I wanted to work on an action movie. Celebrating ladies teaming up!”
Earlier in the day, Elizabeth joined co-stars Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska at a special screening of Charlie’s Angels.
FYI: Elizabeth is wearing Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini.
