Renee Zellweger Gets Honored with American Riviera Award at Santa Barbara Film Fest!
Renee Zellweger is racking up her honors!
The 50-year-old actress received the American Riviera Award at the 2020 Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Thursday evening (January 16) at the historic Arlington Theatre.
The American Riviera Award was established to recognize an actor who has had a significant influence on American cinema, Renee has had an extraordinary career and several remarkable accomplishments over the past decade.
“This has been such a moving experience that I did not expect. I love this town,” Renée expressed during her speech. “Sitting here tonight, I feel lucky to be part of this cinema-loving community who believe in the power of film to inspire, teach and change our perspectives to foster understanding, empathy and unity,” she continued. “I love this festival.”
Songwriter Diane Warren presented Renée‘s award. “You are a truly amazing artist,” said Warren, who also is her friend.
FYI: Renee is wearing a Tom Ford tuxedo and satin shoes paired with David Webb jewels.
