'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' Renewed for Record-Breaking 15th Season

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is breaking records!

FX announced that they have renewed the comedy series for an upcoming 15th season. The renewal makes Always Sunny the longest-running live-action sitcom, by season count, in American TV history.

The show starring Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton, Charlie Day, Kaitlin Olson, and Danny DeVito premiered on FX back in August 2005.

During an interview last year, the cast discussed whether they plan on ending the show anytime soon.

“For us, we just have a short checklist: Do we still enjoy it, are we still having fun, are we still stretching ourselves creatively, and is the audience still there?” Rob shared with EW. “It seems like all those boxes keep getting checked, so we keep coming back.”

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia will return for season 15 in 2021.
