Ink Master's Daniel Silva Enters No Contest Plea in Corey La Barrie Death Case

Daniel Silva has copped a plea deal in the case of the death of his friend Corey La Barrie.

The 27-year-old Ink Master star “entered a no contest plea for killing the passenger in his McLaren sports car after crashing into a tree in Valley Village,” the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced on Wednesday (July 15), People reports.

The Deputy District Attorney said that Daniel entered the plea the day before to one felony count of gross vehicular manslaughter.

Back on May 10, Daniel and the 25-year-old YouTuber were involved in a fatal car accident in Los Angeles.

Daniel was the driver of a 2020 McLaren 600LT and he reportedly lost control of the vehicle. Authorities say that he “ran off the road and collided with a stop sign and a tree.”

It has been alleged that Daniel tried to leave the scene of the crash, but that he was stopped by witnesses. LAPD said, “The driver of the McLaren exited the vehicle and attempted to leave the scene but was stopped by citizens who came to render aid. No other vehicles were involved in the collision.”

Corey was celebrating his 25th birthday that day and he was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Daniel also was transported to the hospital.

Daniel was arrested the following day and was charged with murder.

Daniel‘s sentencing is scheduled for August 13. He faces up to four years in state prison.
