Ken Jeong Makes Sizable Donations To Families Of Atlanta Shooting Victims

Ken Jeong is opening up his heart and has donated a big amount of money to the families that were affected by the recent Atlanta shootings that claimed the lives of many Asian women.

It’s reported that The Masked Singer judge donated a total of $50,000 to the families of victims.

Ken has contributed $10,000 each to the GoFundMe campaigns for the families of Soon Chung Park, Hyun Jung Grant, Suncha Kim, Xiaojie Tan, and Yong Yue.

The night before, Ken appeared on Last Night with Seth Meyers, and got serious about the racist rhetoric has affected the Asian community.

“This is precisely due to weaponizing terms like ‘China virus’ and ‘kung flu,’” he said, referring to the terms once said by former President, Donald Trump.

Ken went on, referencing the Atlanta shootings: “Also the fact that, in this particular crime, there’s debate whether this crime is racially motivated. Asian American women are two times as likely to be assaulted in America. This was clearly, clearly racially motivated. This was clearly a hate crime.”

“As a guy who used to be a doctor and whose wife is still practicing medicine, I have an idea of how to solve COVID. It’s mask, vaccination, common sense, don’t be an asshole,” he added. “But as a human, I don’t know how to solve racism. It takes listening, learning, loving, being tolerant. But it really starts off, in our particular case as Asian Americans, this ‘kung flu’ shit has to stop. And we really need to express that loudly. And we are.”
