Julie Delpy Didn't Turn Down A Fourth 'Before' Movie Because There Was Never One To Begin With

Julie Delpy is clearing up the confusion about a fourth Before movie.

Earlier in the week, the 51-year-old actress was quoted as saying that she turned down starring in a fourth Before flick.

Julie famously starred in the trio of movies opposite Ethan Hawke and they followed longtime lovers who reminisce about their lives together and what different choices might have brought.

The Before trilogy includes Before Sunrise, Before Sunset and Before Midnight, and were directed by Richard Linklater.

“What happened was that we — all three of use — agreed that we couldn’t come up with something good for a fourth one,” Julie shared with Variety about the miscommunication of what she really said. “It’s that simple.”

She added, “We didn’t fight. We’re not on bad terms. Everyone’s happy…It’s so much drama for nothing. We just didn’t come up with a good idea.”

Julie went on, saying that to do a fourth movie, they had “always promised ourselves that we wouldn’t force it. If we didn’t find something…why push it and make a bad fourth one instead of keeping it a good trilogy?”

In her previous interview, it was presented as she said she had turned down starring in a fourth movie.
