Kate Beckinsale Reveals She Hasn't Seen Her Daughter Lily Sheen In A Really Long Time

The coronavirus pandemic has taken a toll on familial relationships all over the world, which Kate Beckinsale knows all too well, as it’s kept her apart from her daughter Lily Sheen for over two years.

During her appearance on Live! with Kelly and Ryan on Friday (July 23), Kate shared that she’s been apart from Lily, 22, for about two years.

“I haven’t seen my daughter for two years because of everything. Also, I went to Canada working and she couldn’t come see me,” she shared on the program. “Two years of not seeing your child is the most preposterous thought.”

Kate adds that the two have kept in touch through technology though. However, it’s still not the same.

“Thank goodness for FaceTime and all that, but we’re both panicking that we’ll look really old to each other,” Kate says, before joking that while her daughter is in her 20s, she “looks 8.”

She added, “She’s like, ‘I’m just worried that you’ll think I’ll look old.’ I’m like, ‘I’m gonna look old.’”

Lily‘s dad is actor Michael Sheen, and will make her big screen debut with Nicolas Cage.

“She did her first movie last year, she’s playing Nicolas Cage’s daughter,” Kate boasted. “She’s off and running. It’s quite scary. I said, ‘Be a doctor,’ and then this happened.”
