Ashley Tisdale Comes to Selena Gomez's Defense Over Kidney Transplant References on TV Shows

Selena Gomez‘s 2017 kidney transplant was made light of on two separate television shows in the past, the most recent being on The Good Fight with another coming from the Saved By the Bell reboot.

The 29-year-old entertainer and actress made a statement about the references to her health and made it known how they make her feel.

Now, one of Selena‘s longtime pals, Ashley Tisdale, is coming to her defense.

Ashley posted on her Instagram Story, “It’s sad to me that when a celebrity decides to share their story, especially difficulties with their health, writers have decided to turn that into a joke in multiple shows?!”

“It takes courage to come out and let people in to what you are personally going through and in turn making that persons journey into a joke,” she continued.
