'Squid Game' Creator Reacts to LeBron James Saying He 'Didn't Like' The Show's Ending

SPOILER ALERT – Don’t read ahead if you haven’t watched all of Squid Game yet!

A few weeks ago, at a press conference after a Los Angeles Lakers’ loss, LeBron James chatted about the South Korean dystopian thriller which is currently talking Netflix by storm.

“Yeah, I did finish it. You finish it? You watched it? You done?” LeBron, 36, asked his teammate Anthony Davis.

LeBron then went on to voice some complaints about the show.

“Yeah, I didn’t like the ending though,” LeBron added.

“I know they start it off with a season two but like, get on the f–king flight and go see your daughter, bro,” he continued. “Like what are you doing?”

In a new interview with The Guardian, Squid Game creator Hwang Dong-hyuk responded to LeBron‘s comments, while throwing a jab at him.

“Have you seen Space Jam 2?” Hwang said in the interview.

He then added, “LeBron James is cool and can say what he wants. I respect that. I’m very thankful he watched the whole series.”

Despite LeBron‘s thoughts, Hwang is very happy with the way he ended the show.

“But I wouldn’t change my ending. That’s my ending,” Hwang explained. “If he has his own ending that would satisfy him, maybe he could make his own sequel. I’ll check it out and maybe send him a message saying, ‘I liked your whole show, except the ending.’”

In another interview, Hwang Dong-hyuk addressed the possibility of making a second season of Squid Game.
