Freddie Prinze Jr. Explains Why He & Wife Sarah Michelle Gellar Would Never Do Rom-Com Together

Freddie Prinze Jr. is opening up about the possibility of working with wife Sarah Michelle Gellar again.

In a new interview, the 45-year-old actor explained why he and the 44-year-old actress would probably never do another movie together again, especially a rom-com.

“We only worked together, while we were together, on Scooby-Doo, and otherwise neither one of us I felt thought it would be very interesting for us to be in a job together,” Freddie shared with Us Weekly. “I don’t think it’s that exciting to watch two people struggle to be together when, you know, they’re going home together at the end of the night.”

Freddie added, “Odds are, if we were in a movie together it would be a romantic comedy, based on my track record and hers. So yeah, we never thought that was something that we would be that interested in because that’s our life.”

Freddie and Sarah first met while working on the 1997 movie I Know What You Did Last Summer. They then worked together on 2002′s Scooby-Doo and 2004′s Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed.

The couple married in 2002 and share two kids – daughter Charlotte, 12, and son Rocky, 9.
