LaMonica Garrett Says Tim McGraw Sings on the Set of Their New Show '1883' 'Every Day'

LaMonica Garrett is getting candid about what it’s like working with Tim McGraw!

“On set, Tim sings every day,” LaMonica told People at the show’s premiere. “Every day, like in between takes, he’s just, he’s humming. He’s doing something. He sings all the time.”

He went on to say that the country-music superstar sings other people’s songs, his own hits and even will come up with songs about what’s happening on set.

“He’ll sing, ‘the horse is angry today” in a jingle,” the actor shared. “You know, he’s a singer and that’s what singers do, they sing about their own stuff and everything else.”

LaMonica also discussed what it was like filming for the Yellowstone prequel and dealing with the elements.

“This is [filmed] outdoors 98 percent of the time, where it’ll be a hundred degrees and humid, or you’re in Montana and it’s 15 degrees or 20 degrees and it’s just freezing from sun up to sun down,” he said.

He joked, “I got dust in places it shouldn’t be. It was bad. The winds were like 60 miles per hour. It almost grounded our flight, and we weren’t gonna make it here until today.”

1883 is set to premiere on Paramount+ on Dec. 19 and you can check out a trailer for the new show here!
