Halle Berry is setting the record straight about whether she’ll be starring in The Little Mermaid.

On Monday (December 27), the 55-year-old Bruise star responded to a fan who seemed to have her confused with Halle Bailey, who’s set to star in the upcoming live-action Disney adaptation.

Twitter user @What_Chitman tweeted, “Can’t wait to see you under da sea,” adding a mermaid emoji.

“… wrong Halle lol,” the Oscar Award-winning actress replied. “I can’t wait to see her too though!”

Back when Halle‘s casting was announced in 2019, there was tons of confusion on social media about which actress would be starring in The Little Mermaid.

“I read this tweet like 5 times trying to figure out how they were going to pull off Halle Berry as a 16-year-old,” one Twitter user wrote.
