HBO Max Announces Premiere Date for 'Tokyo Vice' Series Starring Ansel Elgort & Ken Watanabe!

HBO Max has announced the premiere date for the upcoming series Tokyo Vice and a first look photo was also revealed!

The crime drama series stars Ansel Elgort and Ken Watanabe and it’s loosely inspired by American journalist Jake Adelstein‘s non-fiction first-hand account of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police beat.

Filmed on location in Tokyo, the series captures Adelstein’s (Elgort) daily descent into the neon-soaked underbelly of Tokyo in the late ‘90s, where nothing and no one is truly what or who they seem.

Michael Mann, the director of films like Heat and Miami Vice, directed the pilot episode.
