Jared Goff Reacts to Rams Making It to Super Bowl 1 Year After Trading Him Away for Matthew Stafford

Jared Goff is the former starting quarterback of the Los Angeles Rams, and even played in a Super Bowl for the team back in 2019.

However, at the end of last season, he was traded to the Detroit Lions and the Detroit Lions starting quarterback, Matthew Stafford, was sent to the Los Angeles Rams.

Now, in Matthew‘s first season with the Rams, he lead them to a Super Bowl and Jared‘s new team had a very disappointing 3-13-1 record this past year.

Now, Jared was asked how he feels about the Rams making the Super Bowl one year after trading him away.

“Most of all, I’m happy for those guys because I know how hard they’ve worked, and they deserve it,” Jared told Mike Silver of Bally Sports. “Of course, as a human, you feel like you can be missing out at times. But I think about, if I was in that situation, how would they feel about me? They’d be equally as thrilled for me.”

“It’d be one thing if I didn’t think that they earned it or deserved it,” he added. “Those guys work hard there and deserve everything they’re getting. I’m so happy for Matthew, so happy for Cooper, so happy for [Andrew Whitworth] to go get another shot at it.”
